Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo

An A/W 2017 edition of showcased a great number of original collections

Creativity and originality on the catwalk of the latest edition of Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo, held in March in two different locations in Shibuya, the neighbourhood in central Tokyo that is a must-visit destination for all fashion enthusiasts. The event offered a comprehensive panorama of the Japanese fashion scene of our day. The overall mood of collections could be summed up in an introspective path focused on an analysis of contemporary Japanese culture in the background of a constantly changing world. On the catwalks the Autumn/Winter 2017 collections by more than 50 designers and brands including DressedUndressed, Ethosens, Bedwin and The Heartbreakers, House_Commune, Growing Pains, Roggykei, Motohiro Tanji and Name. Also present designers like Tae Ashida, Yohei Ohno, TOKUKO 1er Vol, Yuki Torii International, Akikoaoki and Hiroko Koshino. A contingent of international designers, including Moto Guo from Malaysia, Nguyen Cong Tri from Vietnam, Linda Charoenlab from Thailand and Michelle Tjokrosaputro and Rani Hatta from Indonesia, was also part of the event.

Once again hosted by the Japan Fashion Week Organization,  the next appointment with Amazon Fashion Week Tokyo is scheduled to take place from October 16th to 21st in two different venues, i.e. Shibuya Hikarie and Omotesando Hills in central Tokyo. The focus will be on the collections for the Spring/Summer 2018 season.
