Ancarani shoes: a triumph of Italian elegance and refinement
By Francesco Maffei
“Style is a way of being. It is strictly personal. It has no impositions or age limits. It is always about feeling at ease with oneself” declares Daniele Ancarani.
The Autumn/Winter 2018 collection by the footwear designer Daniele Ancarani is an ensemble of details rich in history, of tactile perceptions, of visual satisfaction. The brand debuted in Bologna in Italy in the early Eighties, but only in 2001 Daniele Ancarani developed his first shoe collection characterised by unique style, class and good taste. By nature, the designer prefers simplicity to artifice: he avoids unnecessary frills and post-modernist hyperboles, preferring instead simple shapes and to be faithful to his passion for craftsmanship. His style diktat is clear and monolithic: “abandon sensationalism in order to create wearable and solid products”.
Ancarani footwear is instantly recognisable thanks to a miscellaneous aesthetic style applied to each model. Starting from an elegant yet comfortable streetwear, each pair of shoes is inspired by the trendy and cool fashions of contemporary youth culture. The latest collection is articulated around three different themes, starting with one orientated towards a sporty attitude to a more refined range for a perfect selection in line with all the latest trends. The Sporty-Chic style is perfectly embodied by a series of shoes with a comfortable fit and a gender-fluid approach bordering on with sneakers and suitable for edgy urban/chic customers. Imaginative colour shades for the Glamour range with footwear inspired by the iconic 1950’s in shiny patinated fabrics and with plexiglass heels. Lovers of extravagance can count on the Vintage range, a dip in 1980’s eccentricity re-evoked through punk stilettos and court shoes in bright colours ranging from ruby to amethyst. For the more daring customers? Bold animal prints!
