Consuelo Castiglioni leaves Marni

A creative change for Marni, founded by Castiglioni over 20 years ago. Replacing her, Francesco Risso, part of the Prada Group since 2008.

Marni’s creative director, Consuelo Castiglioni, is leaving the fashion house she founded over 20 years ago and that, since 2013, has been part of the Otb Group, chaired by Renzo Rosso. The result of a personal decision, the designer will be replaced by Francesco Risso, who has been with Prada since 2008. “These have been hectic and exciting years”, stated Castiglioni, “that absorbed all my energies, in order to create a project of which I am very proud. Thanks to the constant support of my family, which allowed me to stay true to my idea, I built a brand with a distinct and recognizable identity. The time has arrived for me to dedicate myself to my private life.” Francesco Risso – who has worked on the women’s collection, special projects, and brand endorsements for the Prada Group – will now take on his role as creative director for Marni. Before joining Prada, Risso had also worked for Anna Molinari, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, and Malo.
