The key characteristics of the Elisabetta Franchi La Mia Bambina Autumn/Winter 2018 collection, produced and distributed by Gimel and available for purchase at the very best chidrenswear retailers across the world, are irony, intelligence, charisma, strength and determination. The footwear range for young girls is instead produced and distributed by Andrea Montelpare.
The main inspiration is, as a matter of fact, 1970’s fashion, a decade marked by important social upheavals during which women showed their new-found power through protest rallies, by wearing miniskirts, by being rebellious, but always with the right touch of femininity.
Lively and rich, the palette offers an explosion of colours that creates strong combinations on both the clothes and the accessories: from chocolate to the candour of sugary nuances of cotton candy alongside wine, peacock and petrol that brighten up the dresses and the palazzo trousers. There is no lack of colourful and flamboyant prints, with geometric and multicolour patterns that create optical movements on fluid fabrics. Oversize outerwear garments are worn over bright blouses and shirt-dresses that reveal the very high glossy over-the-knee boots and the belts that by hugging the waist create a glamorous silhouette. Bows assume plastic volumes while the resin accessories become irreverent protagonists on bags, shoes and jewels.
