Lanificio dell’Olivo among the partners of The Future of Fashion BFA Runway

The Future of Fashion BFA is the runway show presented by graduating Fashion Institute of Technology students. An event that marks the end their final semester in Fashion Design for intimate apparel, special occasions, children’s wear, knitwear, and sportswear. Lanificio dell’Olivo  was one of the main partners in the event. Inspired by Hollywood interior designs, Laura Bush, a student from Colorado Springs, showed her collection using yarns from Lanificio dell’Olivo, ideal for creating jacquard motifs that reproduced art deco graphics on knitwear. The distinctive features, typical of the opulence of that period, were rendered in a modern and futuristic manner by inlays and jacquards with sophisticated weaves in which shimmering gold emerged from black and white textures.
