Female accessory. A cylinder open on both ends used as a hand cover for warding off the cold. Made of the most varied materials, from silk to the fur, it is usually padded and has an internal pocket. The muff has very old origins, tracing back to the fifteenth century, when it was also worn by the men, while it became all the rage at the start of the twentieth century.
