The spotlight is on Copenhagen Fashion Week
Scandinavian fashion is the undisputed star of Copenhagen Fashion Week, the four day event taking place in the Danish capital from the 30th of January to the 2nd of February. Nevertheless, there is no shortage of international leading brands in women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, whose latest collections are on display in three different trade shows, i.e. CIFF, Revolver and CIFF Kids.
On the catwalks instead the Autumn/Winter 2018 collections by Scandinavian companies with an important international presence such as By Malene Birger and J.Lindeberg but also by original avant-garde designers like Astrid Andersen and Freya Dalsjø.
The interpretations of women’s fashion according to typically Scandinavian style canons are provided by the likes of Designers Remix, Baum Und Pferdgarten, Munthe.
Directional menswear, on the other hand, is represented by the likes of Uniforms For The Dedicated, Han Kjøbenhavn and Martin Asbjørn.
As usual, there is a very strong focused on fur thanks to the fashion shows Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur, focused on accessories, and Kopenhagen Fur, which examines the latest developments in the use of this precious material in womenswear as well as in menswear thanks to the Imagine Talents project.
The official calendar also leaves room for the newest Nordic fashion designers, mainly thanks to the prestigious Designers’ Nest award, but also through the Via Design and The CFW New Talent Scene fashion shows. Three different event showcasing the work by the best recent graduates and students from the most important fashion schools and universities in Scandinavia.
In conjunction with the fashion shows, Copenhagen Fashion Week also offers three truly interesting trade shows.
The impressive CIFF, which presents a comprehensive overview of fashion and accessories for women and men, ranging from niche collections to those aimed at the middle market.
Revolver too offers an excellent selection of menswear and womenswear with particular attention to brands that stand out for originality and innovation.
CIFF Kids, on the other hand, is entirely dedicated to all the various segments of the multifaceted world of children of all ages.
