Six months for Thimister at Pucci

Pucci. The brand from the LVMH Group turned to Belgian designer Josephus Thimister after its Creative Director, Massimo Giorgetti, bade his farewell last month.
“I was called in as a consultant”, said Thimister. “I will offer my advice and give a helping hand, in general. My mandate will last for six months”. From 1990 to 1997, the 54-year-old fashion designer was Creative Director at the Balenciaga maison, followed by the launch of his own ready-to-wear and couture lines, which he showed in Paris until 2004. Thimister, who is also a teacher, was then named Creative Director in 2005 for Charles Jourdan footwear until 2010, the year he returned to couture.
