TexSelect, a new chapter
TexPrint changes its name to better reflect its essence and becomes TexSelect
The choice of the name TexSelect highlights the evolution of this initiative, which is not implicitly focused on the media, but rather on playing the role of selecting, mentoring and promoting new talents.
Every year TexSelect invites tutors from Foundation, Bachelor and Master textile design courses from all over the United Kingdom to select the most creative students of the year. The 24 selected newly graduates are then introduced to buyers, press and sponsors at TexSelect London Preview and at Première Vision Paris, Europe’s leading fabric fair. The winners of the mentorship program gain not only an exceptional first hand experience in the textile industry but also the opportunity to have internships at some of the most prestigious textile mills and manufacturers in Italy and be trained in using the CAD software.
TexSelect plays a decisive role in helping the new textile design talents to bring their talent and innovation into the commercial world.
