The North Face: adapting to an apocalyptic reality

In an age in which every certainty falters and shatters with a crash against the wall of human greed, a gleam not of hope but of conscious prevention is provided by the Spring/Summer 2018 capsule collection by The North Face. Ideal garments, and an ideal look for everyday life, that are infused with something that can be compared with an alarming warning and that lead us to identify as an everyday occurrence what we once thought of as science fiction.

Breaking down all gender boundaries, both men and women retrace what they have in common thanks to the unisex garments of the Tyvek® Aluminium Series Black. The range provided four different reinterpretations of Tyvek®, the light and resistant synthetic material created by DuPont™, famous for offering protection even from radiation. The Shelter Mountain Raincoat jacket features a mask connected to the hood and the collar that protects the airways.

Drawing inspiration from great yet unexplored places, the Tropical Camo Capsule is characterised by a print on some of the signature garments of the brand like, for example, the 1990 Mountain Jacket, the Nuptse Jacket and the Base Camp Duffel, developed by integrating the technology of both GORE-TEX® and DRYVENT™. The collection is available for purchase in the Urban Exploration stores in London and Berlin and on www.thenorthface.com
