The politically and socially relevant collection by Beau Homme

‘Fight The Nothingness’ is the title of the Spring/Summer 2017 collection by London-based menswear label Beau Homme. Characterised by intriguing cuts for the tailored pieces, especially the short jackets and blousons, some of them multifunctional and multi-use versatile garments that can be transformable in bags and other carrier devices, the collection also offers soft volumes for trousers and shorts.

The colour palette focuses on darker colours like black, deep green, army green, purple, navy and other tones of blue but it is brightened by injections of mustard, pale grey, beige, bright orange, turquoise. The final result? A series of intriguing and original oversize bomber jackets, zig zag print blazers, motif sweatshirts and interesting knits.

“The rejection of corporate abuse of power. The habitual complacency dominating our cultural landscape…the monetary profit of the few…the demand for a continual growth of revenue…” are some of the reasons why Justin Mansfield and George Bunker, the creative duo who founded Beau Homme after meeting at London College of Fashion, decided to create a collection that is indeed politically and socially relevant.
