Alberta Ferretti for the New York City Ballet

Alberta Ferretti designed the costumes for the seventh edition of the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala, which will be held in New York on September 27th.

Along with designers Gareth Pugh and Giles Deacon, Alberta Ferretti was chosen by the New York City Ballet to create the costumes for one of the three ballets that make up the evening’s program, which was conceived and is co-chaired by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Alberta Ferretti, in collaboration with choreographer Gianna Reisen, member of the L.A. Dance Project, is one of the designers for the grand finale of the evening that is accompanied by the music of composer John Adams.

“I am proud to take part in this special project and to collaborate with the talented choreographer, Gianna Reisen, and with the New York City Ballet. I have lent my creativity to the theater several times in the past, but this is my first time contributing to a contemporary work and with an American institution”, said Alberta Ferretti.

The costumes that Alberta Ferretti designed were created in the theater workshop of the New York City Ballet, in collaboration with its Director of Costumes, Marc Happel.
