Barbara I Gongini

Great news for the fashion designer Barbara I Gongini who showcased her spring summer 2016 collection Black Sun only during the Copenhagen Fashion Week, but also during the Kenya Worldwide Fashion Week as well as Los Angeles Fashion Week.

T.T.R. Museum Angewande Kunst , Frankfurt, invited Barbara I Gongini to take part to The Fashion Film Effect, showcasing “In Motion” her specially made videos with Janus À ArgjahØvda and the One Man Band Orka at the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image 2015. During the event the Angewandte Kunst Museum presents a selection of fashion films. Other creators showcasing their artistic motion projects are William Williamson, Kenzo, Alexander McQueen, Gareth Pugh and Prada. Until 31st January 2016.

The T.T.L. Copenhagen Fashion Film in collaboration with Spot Festival chose the same movies to be showcased in Madrid last October during the Dias Nordicos Event, the largest Latin-American Art Festival platform, promoting Nordic art and culture.

Our Arctic Future curated and exhibited by and at the Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin, showcase designers with roots stemming from the Northern Atlantic islands presenting their design ideology. Barbara I Gongini has been invited to present one of a kind designs for the exhibition at hand, designs that are deeply rooted in the Barbara I Gongini design DNA drawn upon creative parameters from Barbara’s heritage in the Faroe islands and how elements of nature impact the clothing construction. Until 6th January, 2016 at the Royal Danish embassy in Berlin.
