Contemporary wear by Rossignol Apparel and new sneakers s/s 2018

It starts with a historical archive, because the pictures tell and best represent the evolution of Rossignol, a brand founded in 1907 by Abel Rossignol, and now part of Rossignol Group, the leading player in the winter sports world.

Outfits and accessories of a time that have the same appeal of contemporary revisions, even in leisure time and urban wear.

Rossignol Apparel, founded in 2015, has the goal of bringing the brand’s experience, keeping track of skiing references and mountain lifestyle, even in the clothing segment. Head of the project of fusion of heritage and expertise in contemporary fashion, Alessandro Locatelli, managing director, with previous experience in Ittierre, D & G Dolce and Gabbana, C’N’C Costume National, Just Cavalli, Balmain.

The collection, first presented in Autumn-Winter 16/17, designed by an interior design team, starts from the original logo of the Galletto, outlines a style that is rooted in a centenary tradition of excellence and research, redraw volumes and lines and chromatic details in a contemporary key.In Rossignol Apparel’s Milan showroom in Corso Venezia 14, collections perform high-profile contemporary wear, with technological and functional know-how, for Performance, Sport-Chic and Studio different occasions, the latter urban development of the extraordinary trend that fashion mix with sport for the metropolitan life.

In the next spring-summer 2018 collection, the strongest key-items are the iconic light bomber, the tricolor knitwear, the logoed or large numbered (1907, the year of birth) prints, and the mountain boots with the new sneaker models revisited in new stylistic options. ‘From mountain to city’, this is the mission Rossignol conquers urban wear inspired by the ‘mountain lifestyle resort’, adapted to the equally free and dynamic way of city experience. Among the proposals is also a Denim soaked in a particular cotton that, treated, improves fit and perspiration.

The special projects of collaborative editions continue: Rossignol by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in the ski and après-ski universe, Tommy X Rossignol (Tommy Hilfiger) with the same values, performance and style and the same colors, white, blue and red.

For next winter, the designer Andrea Pompilio will draw the line Studio, both clothing and accessories.Another two important milestones, the opening of the Oslo store, the first ‘experience lifestyle flagship’ entirely dedicated to the Rossignol world and its sporty experiences, and the new e-commerce restyle that will feature community and storyteller as well as retail of brand name.Rossignol Group is head of the Altor Scandinavian investment fund, co-owned by French Weber Investment and, at a minority stake, by Sandbridge Capital, whose senior advisor is Tommy Hilfiger, Domenico De Sole (former Gucci Group), Ron Snyder (former AD of Crocs).
