by Andrea Malavolti

The five-day Parisian haute couture fashion week, scheduled for July 1st to 5th, opens with Sonia Rykiel who, during the first day of the event, presents the atelier’s collection, designed by Julie de Libran, as a celebration of its 50 year anniversary.

Schiaparelli opens the show on July 2nd, followed, among others, by Christian Dior. On July 3rd, the spotlight is on Chanel, again at the Grand Palais, waiting for the large glass and steel structure to be completed under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.

The Viktor & Rolf brand will be showing on July 4th, commemorating its first 25 years, while the Musée des Arts Décoratifs will be hosting Maison Margiela and Elie Saab.
