both x SOUVENIR: an exciting co-branded capsule collection

We all have opinions, points of views, beliefs, outlooks and perspectives. Why don’t express them through clothes and accessories, as perfectly suggested by Katharine Hamnett in the 1980’s and more recently by SOUVENIR, the conceptual label that recently created an exciting co-branded capsule collection with independent footwear brand both?

Only available in bright red, a colour symbolic of power, speed, prosperity, the limited edition collection comprises of a cotton fleece hoodie, low top sneakers in canvas, socks and a rubber card holder with signature rubber-dipped lace and brass carabiner. Each piece sports graphics inspired by the European Union and Chinese flags with the aim of “raising questions about identity, heritage, divergence and convergence in today’s globalised world”.

Based in Paris, both is one of the most exciting footwear labels of today thanks to its pioneering development of traditional vulcanisation processes and of cutting edge rubber treatments. Founded by David Mallon and Karin Oender, SOUVENIR is a Berlin-based label and creative studio that works independently with carefully selected brands and artists with the aim to crete content-heavy opinion-wear, such as the iconic EUnify hoodie that debuted in 2017 before the Brexit referendum.
