The Dries Van Noten woman for the 2016 F/W Collection is a kind of a Marchesa Casati with heavily made-up eyes who raids the wardrobe of Gabriele d’Annunzio. True luxury consisting in regimental pyjamas, polka dot dressing gowns, dresses, spotted jackets and coats, smooth silk velvet, fur collars, sequined embroidery, and early twentieth century collegial jackets. The best of all? A skirt and sweater outfit covered with sequins, and fur collar that shimmers in the night. Perfect.
