Fred Perry x Raf Simons collection is a tribute to art
A mix of brilliant modernist pieces characterises the S/S 2016 Fred Perry x Raf Simons capsule collection. The counter culture sensitivity by Raf is perfectly combined with the Fred Perry aesthetics, a brand that has always been an style icon and an uniform for counter cultures. Contemporary art influences and bold graphic treatments therefore updated the mono-colour pieces while a European modernist approach was adopted for the Bold shirts in Striped Pique, the Chevron Pique front zip ones and for the Insert T-shirts and sweaters. The palette makes use of bold and dusty tones and vibrant secondary colours.
The Chevron Insert T-shirt in white and black is a key piece while an exciting game of proportions brings for the first time into the collection a T-shirt with a lowered neckline. The silhouette is wide on the body, unlike previous collections.
Started in autumn/winter 2008 till spring/summer 2011, the collaboration between Raf Simons and Fred Perry was successfully re-launched in July 2013.
