Givenchy Haute Couture ss18
Clare Waight Keller – former creative director at Chloè – made her debut for Givenchy during haute couture fashion week in Paris. The British designer succeeded Riccardo Tisci and turned a new page. She interprets high fashion with a deliberately minimal feel, enhancing sought-after precious materials with technical influxes, while gracefully alluding to the historical outfits of the Maison founded by Hubert de Givenchy, whose muse was Audrey Hepburn. The result is an image of a modern, almost severe, femininity that loves dusters with an imperious line, but lets itself be tempted by cascades of crystals and glass tube beading.
