A great number of Evitas in miniature

The Elisabetta Franchi womenswear collection is inspired by Evita Peron, just as the newly debuted junior range “La Mia Bambina”

During the catwalk presentation of the Elisabetta Franchi women’s collection during Milan Fashion Week, the brand signature pieces were also showcased, reinterpreted and revised, for girls from 4 to 14 years of age with three “La Mia Bambina” looks that are going to be sold exclusively on the Elisabetta Franchi online shop.

The Elisabetta Franchi woman for Autumn/Winter 2017 is confident and determined as she walks on high heels through the streets of the wonderful Paris at the end of the 1940’s to the rhythm of Argentinian music. The inspiration of the collection is indeed stemming from the charismatic Evita Peron, a style icon and a symbol of independence, always able of attracting the crowds thanks to her incredible strength and character. At a time when fashion began to make its way into local smoky bistros, where the meeting of different styles and cultures resulted in atmospheres with an intriguing and exotic flavour. The collection is made up of a mix & match of masculine and super feminine silhouettes and of combination of different prints and patterns. Focus on pinstripe, matched with classic 1940’s oriental decorative motifs, for jackets with masculine cuts and also for trousers that slip fluidly on the legs defining the waistline. Herons and floral foliage patterns stand out on clothes and accessories embellished by very luminous embroideries that express all the charm of the Elisabetta Franchi woman and young girl.

The accessory range is also very nice indeed with its elegant hats, gloves and jewels with a retro flavour that represents the leitmotif of the collection. Let’s not forget the faux fur stoles in pastel colours decorated with bejewelled appliqués or with showy bows and the high wedge shoes made of satin, velvet, suede. The very chic mini handbags in bright shades add an extra dose of charm.

In terms of colour, strong contrasts and juxtapositions in a combination of patterns and hues with the spotlight on delicate oatmeal, vanilla, vintage pink, jade combined with black and a few touches of smoky blue.
