Teleporter, Gyunel’s splendid Paris comeback, is the story of a girl who teleports through time and space, among mythological lands and ancient tales. Dystopia, as in Orwell’s “1984” and Kurt Wimmer’s “Equilibrium”, as well as characters like Luc Besson’s “Lucy”, have inspired London-based Gyunel – artist and fashion designer originally from Azerbaijan – giving a sense of escapism to the collection. This element is reflected in the palette that flows from dark to light.
In Teleporter, futuristic architectural lines and nature blend together to create a world where modern and organic are in equilibrium.
