The 50th anniversary of the Carlo Pignatelli fashion house
A celebratory homage for the great Italian couturier with in Milan and in Barcelona
On show during the latest edition of Sì SposaItalia at fieramilanocity, the ‘story of a dream’ exhibition celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Carlo Pignatelli fashion house through photos and garments representative of half a century of high tailoring. Developed over 500 square meters, the retrospective starts in 1968, when the company was founded in Turin and when Carlo Pignatelli worked in his first atelier pursuing his dream of becoming a master couturier. The exhibition was created by using materials from the archives of the fashion house and images by photographers such as Michel Comte, Bob Krieger, Aldo Fallai, Roxanne Lowit and Mauro Balletti. The images range from private and intimate shots, which highlight the highly individual aspects of the story, at least at its very beginning, to photographs related to the preparation and staging of major events such as fashion shows, advertising campaigns and catalogs. The exhibition was also available for viewing at the latest edition of Barcelona Bridal Week.
