IF Wedding Fashion Izmir: Shining Star
The IF Wedding Fashion Izmir trade fair has reached its twelfth edition with great success
IF Wedding Fashion Izmir, a trade fair that specializes in bridal and formalwear and takes place once a year in Turkey – in the Fuar Izmir exhibition center in the city of Izmir – is becoming a reference point for this specific sector, affirming itself as a passageway into the Middle East for the Old Continent. This is the largest event in the bridal wear and formalwear industry in Europe and, in addition to presenting the latest trends for 2018-19, it also proposed fashion shows by well-established brands, such as Alfabeta and Amor Gariboviç, winner of the 2017 Wedding Dress Design Competition with its “Perla Collection”. Victoria’s Secret model, Maryna Linchuk who took to the runways in Turkey for the first time, enthralled all viewers at the fashion show prepared by the exclusive evening wear brand AlfaBeta. Günay Musayeva and Şebnem Schaeffer modeled during the collective exhibition organized by Ottoman Fashion and Ottoman Wedding companies. Izmir represents 70% of all of Turkey’s bridal dress productions. The fair offers the opportunity to establish business relations at both a local and international level. 8 thousand buyers from over 80 countries in Europe, the Middle East, United States, Russia, Turkic Republics and the Balkans undertook meetings at the IF Wedding Fashion Izmir. A ‘Hosted Buyer’ area was set up in Hall B. Instead, the “International Area” welcomed brands from China, France, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Iran, Spain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Russia and, again, the United States. The IF Wedding Fashion Izmir area, sustained and promoted by Izmir Fair Services Culture and Art Affairs Trade Inc. (İZFAŞ,), in collaboration with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association and the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality – was expanded and now includes 57,925 square meters. The upcoming edition is scheduled for next year, January
22nd to 25th, 2019.
