The Festival Photo Mode calls Swarovski
The 32nd edition of Hyères Festival opens with a brand new Grand Prix dedicated to Accessories and promoted by Swarovski
The 2017 edition of the iconic Hyères Festival, which has been hosting fashion designers and emerging photographers for 32 years, expands its range of prizes adding a new award dedicated to fashion accessories. The historic crystal brand Swarovski is supporting the new category by sponsoring the €15,000 award for the winner of the brand new category.
The Swarovski Accessories Prize was awarded this year to the young Swiss designer Marina Chedel who created a footwear collection with an extremely evocative flavour as her shoes illustrate her land of origin through the contrast between nature and urban areas.
According to Pierre Hardy, President of the Jury Accessories: “Maria Chedel won the prize thanks to her ability to develop an original and personal theme. Her collection offers consistently creative accessories. In addition, the style created for Swarovski confirms her maturity as a designer. Her energy, enthusiasm and ability to dialogue convinced us to award her with the first prize”.
