Laskaris Haute Couture s/s18

The Greek designer’s new collection, presented in Paris during haute couture week, is dedicated to Olympias – a proud, capricious, and charming woman – daughter and wife, sister to a king, and mother to Alexander the Great. The inspiration for the brand’s creations is ancient Greece, a land that first questioned itself on the value and power of beauty. The columns of Samothrace are drawn on clothes for ethereal bodies -almost statuesque – snakes, so beloved to Olympias, shine with Swarovski crystals, and pleats are all handmade, just like Laskaris’ sandals.
