Made in China lingerie at SIUF

A large number of enthusiastic fashion professionals visited the last edition of SIUF, the trade show in Shenzhen entirely dedicated to the underwear production and supply chains

At his first time exhibiting at SIUF, the lingerie trade show at Shenzen in China, Josef Frank examined very closely the entire range of products on show. Despite his vast experience in visiting trade shows both in Europe and Asia as a member of the board of directors of the German textile company Taubert Textile, he was literally electrified by both the huge number of visitors and by the impressive number of brands that want to be part of China biggest underwear trade show.

“I met a lot of prominent buyers at our stand, including the purchasing manager of Aimer, the second underwear brand in China”. China’s underwear industry is booming with 25 US $ billion projected sales for 2017. Organised jointly by Shenzhen Jiuzhou Shengshi Exhibition and by Tarsus Group, which takes care of operational aspects, the China (Shenzhen) International Brand Underwear Fair & Shenzhen International Underwear OEM/Materials and Fabrics Fair, a.k.a. SIUF, is the most important and influential underwear trade show in Asia.

The eleventh edition hosted 825 exhibitors, was visited by 105,600 trade visitors from 27 different countries and brought together under the same roof the finished products as well as the machinery used to produce them. SIUF is indeed much more than just a trade shows as, for example, it also hosts numerous competitions including the Kingcraft Awards that awards the most qualified distributors.

The next edition will take place from April 19th to 21st once again in Shenzhen and will witness the launch an international hall dedicated to four areas with pavilions for foreign delegations, brands, fabrics, accessories as well as a B2B meeting room.
