The Arav group and Mafrat reached an important agreement that will see them work in partnership for the Silvian Heach Kids collection, starting from the Autumn-Winter 2016/17 season.
The Arav group, founded in 2002 from the successful enterprise of Mena Marano and Giuseppe Ammaturo, is a well-established business in the Italian fashion system and contributes to the international success of a typical ‘Made in Italy’ style, competitively priced, with the Silvian Heach and SH by Silvian Heach collections.
Mafrat is a leading company in the childrenswear sector, and has been active on the market for 70 years. It specializes in the management of licensed brands and developed a retail channel with over 70 outlets throughout the country. “Networking is the way to deal with new challenges, it is what the market requires in order to offer something extra,” said Mario Totaro, Mafrat’s General Manager.
Even though they are the product of different histories, the two corporate groups share the same values, as pointed out by Mena Marano: “A dialogue based on constructive spirit, which is a common characteristic of these two groups, can only lead to growth.” The main purpose of this new partnership is to grow the Silvian Heach Kids brand image and market position, also on a commercial level: you can achieve this by joining the forces of two companies which are already fully consolidated individually. The two companies will in fact aim to grow together by exploiting their respective assets, not only in Italy, a country where these two businesses are already strong, but also abroad. This milestone represents the natural extension of an intense drive for Silvian Heach brand Kids. The new challenge is about reaching the markets of Northern Europe, of course without neglecting consolidation in countries where Mafrat is already successful, such as the former Soviet republics and the Middle East.
