Fashion for the future in Moscow: Cyber Vision, Robots, and Artificial Intelligence.
Majestic Moscow and its grandiose, 5-day event held in mid-October dedicated to fashion. Actually, three events in one: Moscow Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, FUTURUM Moscow, and POP-UP Shop. From celebrating timeless glamour, to increasingly more teen-oriented sportswear references, affirming one’s identity is still the main goal. With great enthusiasm from its founder, Alexander Schumsky, Moscow Mercedes Benz Fashion Week featured 175 international designers, both established and newcomers, who presented their collectiosn for Spring/Summer 2019 at the Manege in the area of the Red Square. Ksenia Seraya, Aka Nanita, Yasya Minochkina, Bella Potemkina, KETIone, Dokuchaeva, 21DOT12, Arut Mscw, Nvidia x SNEZHANA.NYС, Alena Akhmadullina – who showed at the Museum of Moscow, and Alexander Arutyunov who showed at the Museum of Fashion – Gostiny Dvor, and many others were all present. World premiere also for the I-INCLUSIVE showcase created by Ksenia Bezuglova, a project as ambitious as it was extraordinary that demonstrated through fashion how implementing Artificial Intelligence can be indispensable for people with disabilities. For the first time ever, designers presented their futuristic concepts developed in collaboration with top Russian research centers and with Paralympics champions as models on the runways. The initiative involved designers such as Mikhail Labakhua, founder of the 21shop network of fashion stores and of the streetwear brand, Zaporojec, Alexander Yurchenko, Kian Gerowgan, Asceto Brand, Tanya Voroshilova,defined as a fashion artisan, and Sveta Kozinova & Mark Alex.
