Patrick Boffa Haute Couture s/s18
The sober, minimalist silhouettes in designer Patrick Boffa’s collection are inspired by men’s clothing, for creations that enhance femininity and give a touch of refined elegance. Precise references are made to the works of Madame Grès and the images of the stars of the ‘20s, such as Bette Davis, Marlene Dietrich, and Jean Harlow. The elegant nightwear they wore in the movies is transformed into eveningwear, a pajama becomes a tuxedo, a robe something to wear on important evenings. Black reigns supreme with contrasts between glossy and opaque, and skilful transparencies, pleats, and drapings.
