PROJECTED TOWARDS THE FUTURE

A blossoming of new ideas at the latest edition of CIFF

The Spring/Summer 2018 womenswear collections by the great selection of brands on show at the latest edition of CIFF offered a very wide range of excellent wardrobe solutions for contemporary fashionable women. A very important result, perfectly in line with the vision and the mission of the biggest and longest running fashion trade show in Northern Europe, perfectly epitomised by Kristian W. Andersen, CIFF Director & Creative Director, who stated “Today is already yesterday. At CIFF, we’re focused on tomorrow and the day after.” Once again, CIFF presented a great number of Danish, Scandinavian and Northern European brands such as Bruuns Bazaar, Sand Copenhagen, Bitte Kai Rand, Custommade, Second Female within the Style Setters section. Also present Karen by Simonsen, Noa Noa, Just Female and Nümph. The exhibitor brand list was also characterised by a very strong contingent of international brands including Marni, Marc Jacobs, 3.1 Phillip Lim, J.W.Anderson, No.21, Vanessa Bruno, Rag & Bone, Vince and A.P.C. in the Sleek section and MM6, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania, McQ by Alexan- der McQueen, Sportmax, Bibi Chemnitz in the Lab section. The catwalk show format CIFF RUNWAY hosted not only the shows by menswear brands HALO, Martin Asbjørn and Han Kjøbenhavn but also for the first time the graduate collections by students of the Kolding Design School and of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Architecture, Design and Conservation, featured in the accompanying pictures. The next appointment with Ciff will take place from the 31st of January to the 2nd of February 2018 and will be dedicated to the collections for Autumn/Winter 2018. It will be CIFF’s 50th edition.
