 great success for one of the biggest trade shows in the UK A great event.

Three days to bring together major international buyers under the sky of the British capital: the 2016 February edition of Pure London ended with kudos, both from the public and from exhibitors. More than 700 brands, 300 taking part in the show for the first time, brought a breath of innovation and new ideas through their 2016-2017 Fall/Winter collections, and through dedicated spaces, fashion shows, seminars, and workshops. Particularly appreciated was the introduction of the men’s fashion category, which added to the already rich women’s and accessories sectors, with special attention given to footwear. A large number of industry professionals were present to animate the Olympia London venue: buyers and distributors from around the world, visitors from the United Kingdom itself, ever more present in this industry, as well as Turkey, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Alongside the greatest British retailers such as Fenwick, Selfridges, and House of Fraser, the most important web retailers were also present: online-stores including ASOS, ModCloth, Topshop, and Anthropologie, confirming that the market is increasingly determined to invest in opportunities offered by the web. However, enjoying the wonderful atmosphere of Pure London were also the designers themselves: “We came to the fair to find inspiration”, admits Laura del Gaudio, women’s fashion specialist for Hugo Boss. “It’s nice to see how it differs from the past season. It is much bigger than other trade shows we attended. Every brand here has something to offer for all tastes. Pure London is versatile and spacious.” The next appointment with the show will be July 24th to 26th, 2016 where the best collections for Spring/Summer 2017 can be admired. The theme? “A Life Less Ordinary”. Quite something.
