Saturated soul

Another very strong edition of Pure London, the most comprehensive womenswear and women’s accessories trade show in Britain

Fluid silhouettes and volumes, statement prints, fabrics with interesting unique textures, an abundance of fur, sheepskin and faux fur, folklore-inspired decorative details, a whole multi-varied range of footwear and accessories collections for an underlying maximalist vision of fashion. Here are some of the Autumn/Winter 2017 trends spotted at the latest edition of Pure London, the most comprehensive womenswear and women’s accessories trade show in Britain.

Following the full immersive trend-led theme “Saturated Soul”, the show offered a comprehensive selection focused mainly on the mid market womenswear and women’s accessories segments for the British Isles as well as interesting proposals for the premium women’s fashion, young fashion, premium accessories and menswear segments for the international markets.

Stronger than ever, the line-up of collateral events included seminars, talks, trend presentations. Aided by a diverse range of fashion professionals, the Pure London team organised as usual a series of trend forecasting fashion shows focused on four different macro themes. Dark toned outfits alongside proposals in smudged tones of grey and bright accents of red and orange for ‘Design Matters’. ‘Earthed’ featured a powerful palette inspired by nature and textured tactile materials whereas ‘Nocturne’ highlighted the use of quilted padded fabrics, mainly in black with shiny flashes created by the use of silks and leathers. Oversize voluminous shapes and contrasting proportions for ‘INfusion’ with its muted tones of pale grey and camel matched to retro shades of pink and red.

As usual, a very strong line-up of accessories that included the new collections by Dream’s Code, Palizzi Gioielli, RINO, Bianca Elgar, Audley, TF Slack and Tzurigeta.

Pure London also presented for the first time an Athleisure section with the proposals by the likes of Freddy, PureLime, Bjorn Borg, Coded Nation, BLK Sport, Tight Club, Miss Runner, Elle Sport and many more.

The next edition of Pure London is scheduled to take place at the Olympia exhibition centre in Kensington from July 23rd to 25th.
