A new boutique for Sonia Rykiel in Madrid
The French fashion house inaugurates its first flagship store in Spain with the new concept by the architectural firm Vudafieri-Saverino Partners
The renowned French fashion house makes its official entry into the Spanish retail market with a brand new Sonia Rykiel boutique located right in the heart of Madrid between the nineteenth-century buildings of calle Coello, Madrid’s fashion street par excellence. The project of the 165 square meters boutique was conceived by the Vudafieri-Saverino Partners studio that has been developing the retail concept of all the Sonia Rykiel stores all over the world since 2013. For this very high level opening, the architects Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Severino created a new concept to reflect the iconic characteristics of the nonconformist iconic Paris fashion brand. Hence, the boutique is inspired by the atmosphere of the left bank in Paris with its “cafés littéraire” and its attitude between glamour and intellectuality. The result is an elegant but at the same time informal space, divided into a succession of refined environments with an evocative atmosphere.
