Recently held in the British capital, the last edition of the Dot To Dot London Awards, the twice-a-year competition, took place during the small but perfectly formed design-led trade show for handpicked independent children’s brands and labels and for discerning buyers and press looking for something original and innovative.

Within the welcoming and intimate atmosphere of the Vinyl Gallery, a small exhibition space near Carnaby Street in the heart of London, the creative and inventive collection ABC123ME was awarded the first prize in the Fashion category, especially thanks to the “denim pieces that could easily cross into womenswear and menswear” as explained by the jury.

The first prize in the Newcomer category went to the wonderful hats by Little Hotdog Watson whereas the enchanting homeware by Forivor gained the same prize in the Non Fashion category.

Special mentions for the wonderful knits by Knit Planet in the Fashion category, for the adorable shoes by Little Lulu in the Newcomer section, for the bedlinen and other homeware goods by Willa and the Bear in the Non Fashion section.

Tootsa, instead, was awarded with a complimentary stand at the winter edition of Little, the Spanish kidswear trade show.

“It was very difficult to pick up the winners, as well as the labels who got a special mention, as all the collections have a very high level of originality, quality, innovation, selling power, instant hanger appeal and very high levels of ecological, fair trade, sustainable standards. As far as we are concerned, you are all winners just because you are exhibiting at Dot To Dotdottodotlondon-109 London” revealed the jury comprised by children’s fashion experts including myself during the award ceremony. Together with the prizes provided by Dot To Dot London organisers, all winners and special mention awardees will receive free copies of Collezioni 0/3 Baby and Collezioni Bambini as a sign of appreciation for the quality of their work.
