Valentino. Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli looks towards couture by Charles James, seen through the lens of Cecil Beaton but, instead of imagining one kind of woman – the WASP – he imagined a strong black  woman  in  all  their  splendor.  Emphasized  volumes that caress the body, rustling crisp skirts, swirls of satin and taffeta, prominent sleeves and bows, but also an ethereal floral daintiness, a gentle spring wind.
