White man&woman: a January 2018 edition focused on quality

The unquestionable quality and originality of the collections, the focus not only on the Autumn/Winter 2018 men’s collections but also on the women’s pre-collections and on athleisure, the 3% increase in the number of foreign buyers and the debut of two new sections dedicated respectively to knitwear and bijoux. These are some of the key features of the latest edition of WHITE MAN & WOMAN, the trade show held from January 13th to 15th in two separate locations in the Tortona Fashion District in Milan.

In addition to the special guests Miaoran and diLIBORIO, on stage the collections signed by the likes of Lucio Vanotti, I’M Isola Marras by Efisio Marras, YOJ by Laura Strambi, Cinzia Araia, Nuwoola and by Alberto Guardiani, Barracuda, Smarteez, Paperlace London and Space Style Concept.

The collaboration with international showrooms continues successfully thanks to the presence of Vald Agency, which presented Henrik Vibskov, Beira, House of the Very Island’s, Anntian and EATABLE; of Six London, which proposed Dorateymur, Nicole Saldaña and Toga Pulla; of 3rd Eye Showroom with Fou, Alexandra Moura and LaLa Love; and of The Abyss Studios with Last Heirs, Used Future and Wemaisnone. Also definitely worth mentioning the return of “Ahead”, the section focused on Athleisure with numerous brands including White Mountaineering, Geym and Kappa with its capsule collections in collaboration with AFL, Shauna T, P.A.M and Posh Isolation.

Also very important the debut of “Focus on Knitwear”, a platform that highlights Made in Italy hand-made craftsmanship by the likes of Avril 8790, ZINCO, Cancellato and Flo ‘Sophie, and of “White Bijoux”, the new section with the proposals by Bjorg, Quite Quiet, Icudal, Sophie d’Agon, Sheida Farrokhi, Simona Randazzo, Ossi di Seppia, 0.88 and Atelier Makàrios. Another important new development was the debut of “WHITE Street” that in June will become the first B&C sportswear and streetwear show in Italy open to both professional buyers and end consumers.

Despite a slight drop compared to January 2017 in the number of Italian buyers, the increase of 3% of international buyers, with Japan, South Korea, Great Britain, Germany and France in pole position, is to be considered very positive. Also of note, a series of very important presences from Canada and the United States.

Spotlight on the Autumn/Winter 2018 women’s apparel and accessories collections for the next appointment with WHITE, which is taking place from February 23rd to 26th February in four prestigious locations located in the Tortona Fashion District.

WHITE MAN & WOMAN can boast of the patronage of the Municipality of Milan as well as of a fruitful partnership with Confartigianato Imprese.
