Frammenti Civitavecchia: Italian haute couture pays homage to all women

Recently held at Porta Livorno in the historic port of Civitavecchia in the Italian region of Lazio, the 19th edition of Frammenti was a great tribute to all women. Not even the bad weather managed to ruin the fashion and charity event that enthused and inspired an audience of 700 people.

After some musical performances, the fashion shows started with the Academy of Fine Arts Lorenzo in Viterbo, a small city in Lazio, that debuted with his own project inspired by the ancient Mesopotamian religion. The different kind of women were presented as a reincarnation of “Lilith”: female demon typically associated with the storm .

The real  protagonist of the event though was Italian High Fashion. The Sicilian couturier Koscanyo Couture showcased on the catwalk a collection inspired by the architectural complex of the Alhambra in Granada in Spain: sensual silhouettes with amber details evocative of an elegance from bygone times.

Maison Luigi Borbone unveiled garments dedicated not to just one woman but to many different women made of silk, lace and Swarovski crystals blended together as the natural elements of an extraordinary image.

Franco Ciambella created a collection inspired by Giulia Farnese in which intarsia, embroideries, hand pleating and meters of luminescent tulle revived the sensual beauty of the young muse of the collection.
