Erreà Republic: a spring/summer 2016

The clean-cut severity of the contrast between black and white evokes underground and overground worlds, ranging from original Optical art to fashion, including core streetwear at its strongest moments, i.e. the ska and punk movements. Main protagonist of the ‘Monochrome’ collection by Erreà Republic, a severity to be worn in an overall version with contrast edges, as in the women’s sweatshirts and blazers, or in total looks where sometimes black, or white, seems to prevail, as in the men’s blousons. And again, it is present in the T-shirts with strong contraposition contrasts that emphasise logos and slogans placed inside square shapes or by means of revisited traditional geometries.
It then moves onto the combinations of dotted motifs and stripes, capable of disrupting patterns with references to graphic elements and to optical style.
Born as an offshoot of Erreà, a leading company in high-end sports team apparel, the sportswear and leisurewear label Erreà Republic raises and elaborates with this collection a style antinomy now indispensable in the more fashion-aware wardrobes.
