New Alitalia uniforms designed by Ettore Bilotta
Presented in Rome, in the presence of Alitalia’s President, Luca Cordero di Montezenolo, and its CEO, Cramer Ball.
Ettore Bilotta, an independent designer, who grew up in Rome but is now based in Milan, launched his new project for the Italian airline, denoting a striking difference with the past. The conventional austere uniforms make way for a renewed concept, instilled with a stylistic idea to wear with aristocratic naturalness. The inspiration arises from elements that make the “Belpaese” that is Italy the most unique in the world for its quality, culture, and art and from the realization that the Italian spirit represents a innate predisposition towards good taste and aesthetic sensibility. The designer started from the roots, from the earth and its beauty with, for example, a new hat design that evokes the sculpted movement of the terraces that adorn the Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera.
