Participation in style characterised Rubacuori at the 82nd edition of Pitti Bimbo. The brand attended with a new name, Maëlie, and a completely renewed image. To accompany the launch of the A / W 16/17 Maëlie collection and presentation of the luxury brand to public and press, an important charity event took place, with Pigotta, the iconic UNICEF rag doll, playing the lead, as it was adopted by the brand for this special occasion. Eight girls became stylists for one day, and created their own ad hoc Pigotta outfits with fabrics and patterns from the autumn-winter Maëlie collection. The initiative benefited from the presence of an exceptional godmother, the showgirl, model and actress Melissa Satta, who presented the project accompanied by Giuseppe Daddato, CEO of Manifatture Daddato – the company that owns the brand. With this event, Maëlie wanted to emphasize its commitment to children and its solidarity, supporting the UNICEF project ” Syria Emergency “, which works to guarantee the right to education for children affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle Eastern country and to support UNICEF Child Friendly Spaces, where children can learn, play, receive psychological support and find some of the serenity and normality they lost because of the war. As for the new collection, it is designed for boys and girls who live their day to day with energy and a metropolitan mood. The key word is “contamination” between urban looks and festive and unusual combinations of fabrics and materials, which give life to creations that perfectly express the personality and individuality of the wearer. Thanks to the availability of different collections (from the tasty and witty “Rocktical” to the versatile “Back to school”, including the collection designed for true fashion victims, “Precious”) every child and girl will satisfy her desire for originality and elegance, without sacrificing the convenience of clothes that well adapt to their hectic lives.
