THE ART OF TRANSFORMATION
“If you look at a tree from afar it is green. But if you ap- proach a little at a time you can see the light green, the dark green, the yellow, the brown, the dark ocher, the grey and all its colour nuances”. Fabrizio Leonelli shares the fact that from this observation he decided to develop a unique treatment called Mestizo. Just as the term can define the métissage of humanity, it also tells of a palette of colours that blend and blur together, albeit in harmony, to shake up and make each piece unique. The treatment changes the look and feel of leathers and of already man- ufactured garments that are truly transformed by Iccio. This is indeed the new name chosen for this challenging adventure when from the leather garments laundry start- ed to work with fashion designers and brands in a profit- able exchange of creative stimuli. The craftsmanship that in the Iccio laboratory makes every piece unique and un- repeatable, just like in a Renaissance workshop, takes on different aspects and lives, whether on garments, jeans, leathers, accessories, labels. But as a true chameleon who loves the art of transformation, Iccio researches and experiments also with denim fabrics and the interior de- sign materials, making every piece of work more authen- tic and truly unique.
