New horizons emerge from the runway of Elie Saab. Different cultures unite in the image of a woman adventurer, with a sporty and elegant silhouette. An inspiration that arises from the diaries of the Anglo-Irish noblewoman, Lilah Wingfield, who tells of her trip to India in 1911. Refined lace, embroidery, and appliqués call to mind the motifs of the bougainvillea, jasmine, and palm leaves she describes from the City Palace of Udaipur, also known as the “Venice of the East”. Rigorously flat shoes, and wrought metal jewels and tiaras, complete her image.
