Maison Margiela a/w 2016/17
Artistic Recycling
John Galliano designed the Fall/Winter colledion for Maison Margiela and did so in tune with the historic spirit of the brand, embracing high fashion and artistic recycling, which are dear to Martin Margiela, and reinterpreting everything with a modern, subverted twist. Galliano designs and creates forms to then despoil and deconstruct them. A succession of contrasts that are studied and, at the same time, emotional and spontaneous, both in silhouettes and materials: fit coupe and velvet, sequins and flannel, transparent lurex and ribbed wool. A perfect poetic hybridization.
