Marni created on the third floor of the Umeda Hankyu department store a concept store designed to offer to its customers a meeting place where to enjoy high quality Italian specialties and buy flowers and other exclusive products in an environment characterized by vivid colours and spectacular prints.

Spread over an area of 50 Sq, the space has a particularly refined design: every element reflects the brand’s aesthetic codes defined by a harmonious balance of colours, materials, shapes. Customers are greeted by a counter in green onyx and colourful sheet metal and by woven PVC stools. Those wishing to stay longer can sit on the plush sofa in blue velvet and painted wood or take a seat at the tables of different shapes in green marble and brass that play games with the geometry of the marble and terrazzo tiles inlays set in the wooden floor.

Key element of the store design, as well as representation of the concept of the Café, is the small Marni house that thanks to the furnishings and the logo becomes the symbol of a way of living and a warm and familiar space, which have always distinguished the tradition of the brand.

Creativity and inspiration of the spur of moment are also key elements in the choice of food: the focaccia breads, to be eaten in or to take home in carefully designed packaging, are an important example with their selection of simple, wholesome ingredients that allow you to create your own favourite version. The focaccia breads are accompanied by fresh fruit smoothies, which offer the chance to explore the fusion of different exotic flavours, and by traditional Italian cakes and pastry.

In addition to food, Marni Flower Café sells specially created for the store products inspired by a specific theme that will change every four months. The launch party was a spring picnic with wooden lunch boxes, multicoloured furoshiki, thermos, floral bags, PVC pot holders and porcelain sets decorated with designs from the Marni archive.
