This new version of its iconic bag has been launched by the maison and its creative director, another talent par excellence from the Land of the Rising Sun, Izumi Ogino. The new “Face” Wirebag is completely hand-woven with PVC thread using a traditional knitting technique. In its cute Made in Japan version, this Wirebag unites the “rabbit” theme, typical of Shinsuke Kawahara’s artistic creations, and the fun traditional Japanese game called “Fukuwarai”, which consists in placing different face parts – eyes, noses, and mouths – onto the picture of a blank face, while blindfolded, creating hilarious whimsical expressions. Proposed n two sizes and various colors, this iconic knitted bag is cheery, perky, and carefree. Unique and customizable, it comes with a kit containing playful pins in the shapes of mouths, noses, and eyes, made of leather or sparkling stones, to attach to the Wirebag as you like, indulging in your own individual style. “I love art, especially when it imparts a sense of fulfilling happiness, right at a first glance, and can make you smile from deep down in your heart”, stated the creative director of Anteprima, Izumi Ogino, when she presented the exclusive collaborative project she developed with Kawahara.
