At the recent edition of the trade show Filo at the beginning of March, the spinning mill presented the yarn collections by Botto Poala, Baruffa and Chiavazza. The refined items, fantasies with special effects, innovation treatments in the FANCY, EVERGREEN, H2DRY® PROCESS ranges create yarns for precious fabrics for the manufacturing of accessories such as scarves, ties, stoles, or for high performance materials for suits, jackets, trousers as well as being perfectly suitable for upscale interior design or for rich jerseys and furry fabrics.
In the FANCY range we find again the simple sophistication that characterises Zegna Baruffa: lived in, furry or curly features and bouclé with a plump, enveloping, soft and smooth touch are immersed into country chic suggestions. Perfect for overcoats and coats, for quilted outerwear, for accessories with elaborate surfaces. In a more classic version the EVERGREEN yarns reinterpret products with a metropolitan taste that transcend the seasons to become “timeless”. Extra fine combed yarns with character and personality meet the need of a desire for light but very warm, comfortable, enveloping fabrics like pure wool, pure combed cashmere, blends of cashmere and silk or of cashmere, wool and silk, pure silk, carded materials, alpaca, mohair and the super precious CASHWOOL®. The attention to detail remains an indispensable constant for all products, from the most elegant to those with a more relaxed look.
The technological innovation transforms H2DRY® into a yarn unique and special, the result of long research project by Zegna Baruffa aimed at giving a performance until now unknown to yarns made from natural fibres, a project that continues today in the ‘Collezione di Filati per Tessitura 2017/18’. Thanks to the exclusive H2DRY® process, the yarns feature ideal characteristics: crease resistance for garments for travelling, natural elasticity for always maintaining the original shape and above all the ability to move body moisture inside out.
