The Austrian maison launches a new brand of luxury accessories for the home
Swarovski launches a new brand of luxury accessories for the home: Atelier Swarovski Home. This collection has been created in collaboration with a number of emerging talents and with some of the most interesting designers worldwide: Aldo Bakker, Daniel Libeskind, Fredrikson Stallard, Kim Thomè, Raw Edges, Ron Arad, Tomaàs Alonso, Tord Boontje, and Zaha Hadid. The collection is comprised of home decor items created from a mix of materials, such as marble, metals, and resins combined with crystals and the use of new technologies developed by Swarovski masters, including painting on glass and the revolutionary and extremely sophisticated “Wave Cut” technique. The new collection is a demonstration of the infinite possibilities of crystal in the design sector: the unmistakable aesthetics created by Daniel Libeskind – with his chessboard – where Wave Cut crystal, silver, concrete, marble, resin, and anodized aluminum are used, Ron Arad who has given maximum value to the pure brilliance of crystal, Aldo Bakker and how the minimalist expressions that crystal can offer are enhanced, as well as overwhelming new ideas by Kim Thomè and Raw Edges.
