Birkenstock with Proenza Schouler

Birkenstock, a historic German footwear and lifestyle company, collaborates with the New York-based Proenza Schouler, for a unisex collection footwear project that re-elaborates the bestsellers ‘Arizona’ and ‘Milan’ shoes.

Comfortable and functional like sports shoes, elaborated in a fashion key with a series of details in the foreground: velcro closures, contrasting industrial stitching, trendy shiny colors like black, white, ocher and silver.

For this special partnership, Birkenstock and Proenza Schouler chose Juergen Teller and Peter Miles as creative collaborators to give Birkenstock an artistic approach to the refined and timeless craftsmanship.

Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez, designers and founders of Proenza Schouler, a brand of accessories and fashion, draw inspiration from contemporary art and youth culture, combining traditional tailoring techniques with exclusive innovative fabrics.

The capsule collection will be available at selected retailers around the world starting in February 2020. <BT>
