In Bologna – Statue of a Woman

An avant-garde educational district was created in Bologna to convey the know-how of fashion. Its icon, a breathtaking installation.
In the historic home of the La Perla Group, Via del Fonditore 12 in Bologna, the Fashion Research Italy Foundation was instituted. An idea by Alberto Masotti who invested 15 million Euros to implement his desire for a large educational exhibition space and one that is definitely futuristic. A sort of workshop with a high-tech feel. An open space for new talents and new creative trends that, in a mix of “traditional” design and technology, captures the expression of the three macro domains of education: preserving heritage, education, and innovation. The main icon and symbol of the fashion district was conceived by Senso-Image Experience, a creative design studio headed by Mick Odelli who, for this occasion, gave life to Statua di Donna – Statue of a Woman: an installation that took four months to design and was created to celebrate femininity and the deep bond that binds women to fashion history. Universal concepts that have been interpreted by involving the senses through sound and visual suggestions.
