Swiss designer Serge Ruffieux debuted for his first Carven collection, inspired by the artistic and bohemian life of Madame Carven, while also rediscovering the historic archives of the maison with its 250 pieces belonging to the Palais Galliera Museum of Fashion in Paris. What it exudes is that Parisian style. So fresh, fanciful and, at the same time, it revamps the aristocratic attribute that has distinguished the Carven line and the finesse of its founder. From Madame Carven’s travel diaries emerge the eccentric images of ethnic designs embroidered on jackets, and geometric patterns for prints and knitwear.
